I’ve never done a sweet 16 session before, but I’m already craving another! McKenzie wanted a sunset session in a field, along with some couples shots with her boyfriend, and I think they turned out gorgeous. We were lucky that this evening was one of the best sunsets I’ve seen in a long time; so many colors!
I’m vaccinated and back at it, after a 441 day hiatus!
May 8th will be Black Fae Day, a celebration of Black representation in fantasy and fiction. My friend Alicia (of Kiss A Frog Cosplay) put together this stunning Viceroy butterfly ensemble, and I was more than happy to trek down to a local creek with her and get shooting! They turned out just as magical as we’d hoped, and I dunno about you, but I’m SO excited to see all the other photos that will be shared on the 8th! Take a peek at a few faves!
Because of Covid, I hadn’t seen this family in quite some time, but it was great to work with them again for little Mayah’s first birthday! She was such a good-natured baby and so fun to shoot. Big sis Norah was a big help, of course!
Jameson’s first birthday fell around Easter, so this Peter Rabbit theme couldn’t have been any more perfect! Just look at that basket of garden goodies, that “garden” cake, and THE BUNNY. It’s just too much cuteness! His big brother Dawson, of course, had to join in on the fun. :)
We did a few different things at this session — it was part unicorn birthday party, part Halloween portraits, and I love it!
Overalls, flowers, and ice cream. These photos just scream summer! I love it!
Seems like just yesterday I was doing Bailey’s birth photography and 1st birthday. Time flies! Her Moana-themed birthday party was adorably precious!
I had the honor to photograph little Madeline’s baptism at the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart here in Charleston. What a gorgeous church, wonderful family, and beautiful day!
One year old already?! I have no idea where the time goes. And can you believe how cute this little guy’s outfit is? He looks ready to take on the world. :)
Birthday parties have to be my favorite event to photograph, and my niece Bailey’s party was no exception!
