I’m vaccinated and back at it, after a 441 day hiatus!
May 8th will be Black Fae Day, a celebration of Black representation in fantasy and fiction. My friend Alicia (of Kiss A Frog Cosplay) put together this stunning Viceroy butterfly ensemble, and I was more than happy to trek down to a local creek with her and get shooting! They turned out just as magical as we’d hoped, and I dunno about you, but I’m SO excited to see all the other photos that will be shared on the 8th! Take a peek at a few faves!
Tsubasacon 2013 was a huge success! Here’s to ten more years!
Tsubasacon is WV’s premier anime convention, and I’ve been going for years now. As usual, it’s a great place to snag shots of impressive cosplayers and people generally having a great time!
Here are some of my potential submissions to Wonderful West Virginia Magazine’s “Day in the Life” photo competition.
I spent a recent Saturday touring a bit of West Virginia history: the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston.
Charleston’s Fourth of July fireworks coincided perfectly with a nearby thunderstorm, resulting in a unique photo opportunity!
I took some photos of the derecho that came through West Virginia on June 29th. There were some pretty wicked clouds that evening!
2011 was the first year I started to seriously begin photographing Tsubasacon. It’s always a real treat!
