Here are some preview shots from my forest session with Sydney, a senior at Herbert Hoover High School. She even brought her puppers along for a few pictures!
It had been three years since the last time I did photos for Claire and her family, and her girls looked so grown up compared to the last session! We were dying in the 90 degree weather, but we at least missed the rainstorm that came through right as we wrapped things up!
I’ve never done a sweet 16 session before, but I’m already craving another! McKenzie wanted a sunset session in a field, along with some couples shots with her boyfriend, and I think they turned out gorgeous. We were lucky that this evening was one of the best sunsets I’ve seen in a long time; so many colors!
I’m vaccinated and back at it, after a 441 day hiatus!
May 8th will be Black Fae Day, a celebration of Black representation in fantasy and fiction. My friend Alicia (of Kiss A Frog Cosplay) put together this stunning Viceroy butterfly ensemble, and I was more than happy to trek down to a local creek with her and get shooting! They turned out just as magical as we’d hoped, and I dunno about you, but I’m SO excited to see all the other photos that will be shared on the 8th! Take a peek at a few faves!
I love seeing how much my smallest subjects change between photo sessions. Seems like they’ve grown a foot every time I see them! This was the last session I had in 2020 before the pandemic hit, so I remember it fondly.
This session had tons of family shots perfect for Christmas cards! The Capitol grounds are always a great location for any shoot. :)
It had been a few years since I’d seen this family! We timed the fall foliage pretty perfectly, so the light in these photos makes me almost as happy as little Owen’s adorable smiles!
The lashes on this little guy! He and his momma were so sweet, and I just love his expressions.
These guys are long-time clients, which gives me the joy of seeing their kids growing up from behind my camera. Kaden and Karley are just the sweetest, and I love the way these photos turned out.
