This was such a cold (but fun!) shoot! Our original plan to take family photos at a Christmas tree farm fell through, so we met at the Capitol to use its big tree instead. They turned out adorable!
We did a quick half-hour shoot at the Capitol on an unseasonably (wonderfully!) warm day to get a few family shots. Isaac and Ingrid, the twins, have grown so much since the craziness of their newborn photos!
I’ve been doing photos of Claire and Lorelai for years now, so I was excited when she asked me to take some quick celebratory shots right before her high school graduation. Lorelai had to get in on the action, of course, so we captured some really cute memories of this big event. Congrats to Claire!
Prom photos are a lot of fun — all that glamour and excitement! Kiersten and Alex wanted a mini-session at the capitol, and even though it rained on us and we had to hide under the columns, we got some nice shots and didn’t get too soaked. :)
I’ve known Alicia for a while now — a few years back, we did a lolita photoshoot in this same location! She’s graduating from culinary school next month and wanted to do a graduation shoot to celebrate. :) Here are a few samples!
Heather and Kristina are two good friends of mine who just happen to be amazing cosplayers. :) You may remember them from other shoots I’ve done: Heather’s Highschool of the Dead and Taokaka and their joint Borderlands cosplay. They asked if I could get some photos of their latest work, Umi and Hikaru from Magic Knight Rayearth, so OF COURSE I had to!
Shelby is a senior at George Washington High School! The capitol grounds are an ever-popular location for senior photos, so we started out there and made our way to the park afterwards. Sooooo cold that day, but always worth it!
Another great senior session with a lovely subject! :) Ariel also wanted to add her dog into some of her shots, since she has had her since kindergarten!
Jenna is a senior at Winfield High School! We did a mix of shots at the Carriage Trail and downtown Charleston, and got some gorgeous shots!
Heather and Kristina make up Elemental Moon Cosplay, one of the teams to make it to the 2015 World Cosplay Summit in Detroit! They’re amazing at what they do and I’m always excited to work with them. :) This photo set is for one of their newest cosplays as Maya and Lilith from the video game Borderlands.
