I’ve never done a sweet 16 session before, but I’m already craving another! McKenzie wanted a sunset session in a field, along with some couples shots with her boyfriend, and I think they turned out gorgeous. We were lucky that this evening was one of the best sunsets I’ve seen in a long time; so many colors!
I’ve done several sessions with Alex and Ian now, including their fantastic wedding a few years back. I was so excited to get the news that they’re expecting their first baby, a little girl, in August!
I always love doing photos for my family! Over the holidays, my aunt Tami asked if I’d be able to take some updated family shots for her, since their family has grown quite a bit in the last few years. It’s not often that their whole family is together; my cousin Daniel and his fiancee Lyn lived in China for several years and are now in California, Isaac’s family lives in North Carolina, Bethany and her hubby live in Ohio, and Moriah is in school at WVU. I know how much it meant to them to finally have group photos taken! :)
I did engagement and wedding photography for Morgan and Chad several years ago, so I was excited to meet their new little guy, Dawson, around his first birthday! We decided to take dressy shots at their church, and oh my gosh. His little suit! It’s just too much! :)
This was such a cold (but fun!) shoot! Our original plan to take family photos at a Christmas tree farm fell through, so we met at the Capitol to use its big tree instead. They turned out adorable!
I actually photographed Alex and Ian’s wedding last year, and it was the craziest but most amazing one I’ve ever shot! A tornado came through the night before their outdoor barn wedding (no joke!) and they therefore had an insane rehearsal dinner, but the next day, everything went great, even with the mud and debris everywhere. :)
They are such a fun couple, and they asked me to come do one-year anniversary pictures for them at their home in Ripley. We had to battle the elements again (we had to call it quits early due to a massive thunderstorm!) but it was a good time nonetheless!
This is definitely one of my favorite recent shoots! Sara and I decided to meet at Dunbar Wine Cellar Park, which is a bit off the beaten track, but extremely cool and worth getting lost once or twice! :)
What a cute family! Izzy and Iva are getting ready to be big sisters to twins! :)
Prom photos are a lot of fun — all that glamour and excitement! Kiersten and Alex wanted a mini-session at the capitol, and even though it rained on us and we had to hide under the columns, we got some nice shots and didn’t get too soaked. :)
This is 3-month-old Annabelle! Can you say adorable? :) This is a fun age for pictures, since babies have usually learned to hold up their heads and you can capture all their little faces. I’m loving the bonnet in particular. You don’t see many babies wear them anymore, which is a pity since they’re precious!
