When the Columbus replica ships are in town, of COURSE you seize the cosplay opportunity!
We did a quick half-hour shoot at the Capitol on an unseasonably (wonderfully!) warm day to get a few family shots. Isaac and Ingrid, the twins, have grown so much since the craziness of their newborn photos!
Shelby is a senior at George Washington High School! The capitol grounds are an ever-popular location for senior photos, so we started out there and made our way to the park afterwards. Sooooo cold that day, but always worth it!
Another great senior session with a lovely subject! :) Ariel also wanted to add her dog into some of her shots, since she has had her since kindergarten!
Heather is a wonderfully talented local cosplayer who always seems to be cooking up something new! I had the privilege of shooting her as Taokaka from Blazblue at the WV capitol building. We had a few interested spectators, so it was a lot of fun, despite us managing to break her shoe! :(
Janna and Jeremy are tying the knot in a few months here in Charleston. They wanted to incorporate reflections, perspective, and poi into some of their shots, and even though it was burning up outside, we had a lot of fun shooting!
Tanna was 34 weeks pregnant with twin girls when we had our shoot. We were lucky enough to catch the last bits of snow and get some pretty shots to celebrate her soon-to-arrive babies!
Caitlin attends Herbert Hoover High School and will be graduating in the spring! The foliage right now is pretty meager, but we still got plenty of colorful fall shots at the park and Haddad Riverfront Park!
Madison is a senior at George Washington High School, and plans to attend WVU in the fall. Here are some samples from our shoot!
Here are some of my potential submissions to Wonderful West Virginia Magazine’s “Day in the Life” photo competition.
