I’m vaccinated and back at it, after a 441 day hiatus!
May 8th will be Black Fae Day, a celebration of Black representation in fantasy and fiction. My friend Alicia (of Kiss A Frog Cosplay) put together this stunning Viceroy butterfly ensemble, and I was more than happy to trek down to a local creek with her and get shooting! They turned out just as magical as we’d hoped, and I dunno about you, but I’m SO excited to see all the other photos that will be shared on the 8th! Take a peek at a few faves!
Because of Covid, I hadn’t seen this family in quite some time, but it was great to work with them again for little Mayah’s first birthday! She was such a good-natured baby and so fun to shoot. Big sis Norah was a big help, of course!
I had the honor to photograph little Madeline’s baptism at the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart here in Charleston. What a gorgeous church, wonderful family, and beautiful day!
Can a girl ask for a prettier backdrop than the Capitol in Spring? Sweet Annabelle was looking as rosy as a flower herself as she wandered around the flowerbeds with her little basket. Cuteness overload.
This is definitely one of my favorite recent shoots! Sara and I decided to meet at Dunbar Wine Cellar Park, which is a bit off the beaten track, but extremely cool and worth getting lost once or twice! :)
What a cute family! Izzy and Iva are getting ready to be big sisters to twins! :)
Oh man, these little cuties! We had such a great time getting these sister shots, plus some adorable ones with their dad, a firefighter. :)
I always love doing followup shoots! I shot photos of Miss Madi last year, so it was fun to add her new little brother Sawyer into the mix for some updated family photos. Here are a few samples!
I’ve been doing photos of Claire and Lorelai for years now, so I was excited when she asked me to take some quick celebratory shots right before her high school graduation. Lorelai had to get in on the action, of course, so we captured some really cute memories of this big event. Congrats to Claire!
Prom photos are a lot of fun — all that glamour and excitement! Kiersten and Alex wanted a mini-session at the capitol, and even though it rained on us and we had to hide under the columns, we got some nice shots and didn’t get too soaked. :)
